Sunshine and New Prints

The sun has this great way of invoking energy into your day, doesn’t it? Especially in the spring and summer. I think it’s more of the combination of the fresh warm air, the birds chirping, and the flowery breezes. This week was the beginning of re-overhauling my diet. I have always eaten well, but my portions have been too large and I don’t eat in regular fashion. Sometimes I’d skip breakfast, eat a huge dinner, eat some junk food.. here and there.. and EVERYWHERE! I’m back on track, eating smaller portions, getting in quality protein and tons of yummy fruits and veggies. Ironic how it can totally energize you and make you feel better. You don’t crave those twinkies or that coca-cola anymore. Yay!

After the gym, I got my orders shipped (sorry it took so long guys!) and have listed some new prints! My two favorite new ones are August Tree and September Tree. Though I name them by month I know that these are beautiful to show in your home or office year round. They just liven up and energize the room, don’t they? June Tree is second of my most popular pieces from the Jeweled Trees series. Whether in prints, posters, commission paintings, or jewelry, everyone always asks for June Tree or something that looks like June Tree. Why not offer more color options in this print? And so here they are. These two are by far my favorite in color combinations and would look great in rooms that are themed in pretty much any way that incorporates golds, rich jeweled hues, earthy tones, and modern minimalist themes.

Twitter and Work

Many of you know, I use twitter.com for microblogging, networking with friends and colleagues, and for personal goofiness/venting/celebrating/randomness. Twitter has been an easy to use tool for keeping in touch with those I can’t normally keep in touch with, offer immediate stats on upcoming events or changes in my work, and to ask questions/advice/ideas on questions I have regarding everything from career to everyday life. Twitter is about community, about relationships, about being yourself. None of that professional-like manner, or being about your business. This is the new wave of communication, regardless of the naysayers.

SOME GREAT REASONS FOR YOU TO TWEET:

- connect with like-minded people

- share your thoughts on today’s topics, links online, etc

- record moments you want to remember, in your simplest words

- gain ideas for projects and problems you come across

- gain new friends

So, are you my twitter friend? (follow http://www.twitter.com/natashawescoat) and I will add you!

I just finished a my soy smoothie that was mixed with choco whey protein, bee pollen, and frozen strawberries. It was delicious! Now, I’m off to get in my workout, ship some orders, and connect with artists.
